Unlocking Success: Align Vision with Will AND Power

In the beginning, there is a question:

"Why should [I] do?"

You may translate “do” into “spend my ressources” aka “invest effort”.

Answer is simple: there must be a benefit in success.
This is what Businesses always ask anybody around.
It is the core-principle of economics, every system follows.
As well for You – personally – as also for any other system like an organization which You are part of or interact with. The purpose of every rule that derives from that principle shall be only there to ease execution and assure result – see next lines.

And then, if a benefit is promising enough, the system asks:

"How to achieve #success?"

AND this question implicates the question “How to prevent failure?”

AND here is my answer …

SUCCESS simply happens

Everytime, there is is alignment between

… #SUCCESS will follow – as long as success-conditions exist.

What does that mean?

In me (personally), there is a constant monitoring-subroutine checking, whether

#SUCCESS is nothing less than the necessary consequence of success-factors fulfiled – while limiting thresholds assure absence of #FAILURE.

And upside down: if You wish to achieve success, head to fulfilment of success-factors first. (#KOKORO)

Well, this insight is neither new nor groundbreaking. Every child will learn that at last at Primary School. What I offer You is just a key to #FOCUS on the Indicators which make success most likely to appear.

Once we all realize, what some call FLOW, others ZEN and which is approximetly ‘directing CHI towards harmony’, SUCCESS is evitably.

Btw., this is the real meaning of “Kung Fu” – “Happiness via Effort”.
Is there a coincidence in the latin mantra of sciences saying

"per aspera ad astra?"

If You find equation in different contexts, there is a strong likelihood it rulez every context. Good news: “Learn once, apply in any situation.”

This is real #efficiency!

Hints

What is meant by the term (sic!) #COMPETENCE which some understood equal to what is named as QUALIFICATION.
What is the difference?

QUALIFICATION is a pre-check of an [object’s] attributed conditions KNOWLEDGE + SKILL before COMPETENCE is completed with the most powerful success-factor ALLOWANCE aka AUTHORIZATION.

QUALIFICATION-check happens on System-Level M2 (“Safety & Security”) for INPUT while on M4 (“Governance”) the product of [my] work is checked whether it is “good enough” to be RELEASED – putted ouside [the] impact sphere via System’s Level M3 (“Communication”).

Once You accept these meanings as valid to explain interaction of any systems, You will find language constructions all around which fit exactly to this model. Amazing!

"I allow myself to publish."
"May I introduce ..."
"Am I allowed to speak freely ..."

Application

Is it so easy?

Just align

Yes, it is.

The un-easy and effort-comsuming part is to work out [THE REAL] … Which is the meaning of communication used in different contexts by different people in different situations at different times for applying these meanings to a document which is called <SPECIFICATION> which can be executed later as one or multiple instance of a <product> which is just the result of an equitation of success-factors multiplied with each other on the one side and the object to the exchange of money (price) and value (benefit) on the other.

Leadership vs. Management

In German, we are slightly limited by our everyday use of our language.

We speak of “Führen” which sometimes has more the meaning of leading (“Der Führer”, “il Duce”) and sometimes means managing like in “die Bücher führen” (book-keeping) or “ein Unternehmen führen” (managing an organization).

There is a tremendous field of opportunities for conflicts and errors resulting from misunderstanding [THE REAL].

Me myself, I am often hired from external to fulfill an order. In most cases, within the impact sphere I can oversee, there is a significant absence of leadership. People around me act without KNOWLEGDE of a Vision they can align their contribution of work to. At least, I cannot see that alignment and when I ask, I get answers which do not reflect an alignment to anything I am imagine as vision in the context.

Why am I so sure?

As I worked as ‘Security Manager (sic!) in Projects’ an internal staff-member reviewed a version of one Security Concept I prepared.
He always asked: “on which goal this is paying in?”.

That was a real game-changer. That was true LEADERSHIP!
Now, I had my #TrueNorth which aligned my work towards the goals of the organization as well it was a benchmark to easily recognize whether the project was ready or not to release (from #Security-perspective).

After that very moment in time, I always added [generic] leading questions at the beginning of every paragraph an section of my concepts. Guess what? There was significant less resistance from the project members. On the one hand, people instantly understand to which they have to align to and on the other hand that is even their benchmark to recognize whether they need to do something.
And very often, they already had an [idea!] what that has to be and how they could achieve.

Take away

Everyone is programmed to #SUCCESS. Nobody likes to waste themselves to #FAILURE. People are determined by nature to spend their ressources on surviving, adapting (to secure living) and hand over to their system-peers for that sake of survival.

Conrad (Mr. Columbo) calls this the Three-way Fight of Evolution.

And how You are able to distinguish?

… fake it, make it or leave it!

AND for all those who are ‘in lead’:

This contains explicitely every system, whether it is private (family), personal (friendship) or a commercial operating organization.

AND if You see Yourself in need of forcing something:
enforce by asking for support rather than opting for violence.

AND what’s about all the rest?

Hold!
… as long as You can afford (or beeing forced to) inside the system.

You may need [them] in the future. This will end with changed conditions – when survival of the system is endangered and its focus changes from #GOOD via #NORMAL to #BAD. Then it is time to release from heritage and legacy to adapt the system to the new #NORMAL under changed conditions.

AND btw. at the edge of #NORMAL, there a controls to keep up: BCM.
Once thresholds of BCM are violated, You are in #CRISIS-mode. You lost guidance and established controls continue to fail. That is the time to call for help from external – store their contacts safely!
Once CRISIS-management fails and disaster emerges, You are in the domain of CATASTROPHE.
That’s where the question is “dead or alive?”.

If every control You had on hand is lost, only more powerful systems can save [You] from lethal harm.
Some call it the law, some nation, others state, some speek of mankind.

And maybe, You get aware if some kind of brotherhood aligns itself AGAINST a greater #SYSTEM.
That will end in #DOOM. For the one or the other.
Hopefully, never for all of us.
